Your child will need a baseball glove, baseball shoes, athletic supporter(cup) & a practice uniform consisting of cap, t-shirt, and baseball pants. Shetlands (ages 4,5 & 6)can use a soft cup. It is not necessary for Shetlands to have baseball cleats but strongly recommended.

Does my child have to try out for a team?

NO, any child who fully completes registration (to include completed registration form and fees) prior to the league reaching player limits will be placed or drafted onto a team. In December there will be a player rating day (Draft) scheduled so the managers and coaches can observe players perform basic drills as a prelude to the drafting of the players onto teams. No players will be “cut” from teams unless eminent safety is an issue.
